Insyght Health
A paid preventive health platform serving hundreds of members. I turned an 80 line brief into a working V1 in 39 days and led it into production.
Insyght is a live preventive health membership. Members pay for access, speak with physicians, order laboratory panels, and use digital services in one product. The platform currently serves hundreds of users.
The public product handles paid memberships, renewals, consultations, lab orders, and payments. It also handles sensitive health information.
Where it started
The first brief was about 80 lines in a WhatsApp message. It described eight or nine imagined features. It was not a specification. It was an incomplete picture of what the software could be.
I researched the market, inferred what the client was imagining, and used repeated meetings to turn that picture into a product we could build.
What I did
I hired two people and led a team of three: myself, one frontend leaning full stack developer, and one backend leaning full stack developer.
We scoped the behaviors, chose the vendors, and built the member journey. Junction, formerly Vital, was one of the services that made the laboratory path possible. Third party gaps were the main thing that slowed us down, because the starting brief did not make those blockers obvious.
We reached a complete working V1 in 39 days from kickoff. We took that V1 into production over the following 89 days.
I am Head of Product and Engineering. I own the product model, the architecture, hiring, delivery, and how the live system keeps moving.
What this proves
A short, unclear brief can become a commercial health product if someone turns it into a plan, hires the right people, and ships fast. Clinical thresholds stay with the medical team. The software work is mine.
